BALS TOKYOは西洋から東洋まで世界中のデザイナー、エンジニア、職人、アーティストといった様々な
才能を編集し、その才能を世の中に発信してゆく触媒です。
世界の才能とのコラボレーションから生み出される真にデザインされた生活空間のエレメントを
東京から世界中のアッパーミドルマーケットに向けて発信してゆきます。
また、INTERNATIONAL DESIGN STOREという、世界中の優れたデザインを集めた
ESIGN STOREを実現させる為に、多くのデザイナーとコラボレーションを進めています。
第一弾は、日本でELLE DECO DESIGNER OF THE YEARを受賞した
CARLO COLOMBO氏によるインテリア、照明のシリーズです。
「2030年」というテーマのもと開発されたプロダクトは未来を感じさせる
斬新なデザインになっています。
そして、この秋、第二弾として5名のデザイナーとのコラボレーションプロダクトを発表致しました。
畳と椅子が共存する不思議なミックスカルチャーの都市「東京」。
ブランド名にもなっている「東京」と「2030年」を表現された、
BALS TOKYOオリジナルのプロダクトを展示致しました。
そして、2007年春にBALS TOKYOはミラノサローネに出展致します。
ニュープロジェクトの発表も致しますので、ご期待下さい。
BALS TOKYO is a catalyst which edits various talents such as designers, engineers, craftsmen and artists all over the world. We have been transmitting sensitive design elements created from a collaboration with various talents for international upper-middle class market from Tokyo.
And we have been collaborating with many designers in order to actualize an “INTERNATIONAL DESIGN STORE”.
For our first collaboration, we have worked with product designer/architecture designer CARLO COLOMBO, the winner of ELLE DECO Designer of the Year award, to release a line of lights and furniture, with theme of “Year 2030”
Coming this autumn, We are going to exhibit our second collaboration with 5 designers. They reflect our brand theme “TOKYO” and “Year 2030”, words symbolize a mixture of eastern and western culture, into products. We hope you will enjoy our future-mixture -oriented style.

Christophe Pillet
1959年フランス生まれ。
1985年ニースの装飾美術学校でアート・デザインを先攻した後、1986年にドムスアカデミーを卒業。
1986年ミラノのドムスアカデミー大学院を卒業。
1986〜88年までミラノで活動するマルティーヌ・ベダンのアシスタントを務めたのち1993年までフィリップ・スタルクの元で活動。
同年独立し、1994年には母国フランスのクリエーター・オブ・ザ・イヤーを受賞。
2004年のフランス国際家具見本市では、コンテンポラリー家具部門のエキシビジョン「メトロポール」をプロデュースするなど、フランスデザイン界のヘッドライナーとして活躍中。
現在もカッペリーニ、モローゾ、トラサルディ、モエ・エ・シャンドン、ランコム、資生堂、ロレアルなど様々なジャンルのクライアントに呼応するようにインテリアデザイン、建築を通してその才能を広げている。
Born in 1959, he graduated from the Decorative Arts School in Nice in 1985, Master of Domus Academy, Milano, in 1986.
He worked with Martine Bedin in Milano during two years (1986-1988).
He cooperates with Philippe Starck, in Paris, from 1988 to 1993.
Since May 1993, he carries on his free activity.
His first furniture where produced by XO in 1991.
Opened his own studio in 1993.
Elected as "Createur de l'annee 1994".
He steps in different worlds, like Furniture Design, Architecture, Interior Architecture, for Artelano, Cappellini, JC Decaux, Trussardi,
Daum, Moet et Chandon, Lancome, Ecart International, Shiseido, Bally, Moroso, l'oreal, JC Jitrois, Whirlpool, Veuve Clicquot, Driade...

Francesco Rota
1966年ミラノ生まれ。
スイスのアートセンターカレッジオブデザインで学んだ後、Elektrene社のガレージや公共駐車場の発券機や油圧式の車止めなどのデザインを行う。
1995年に自身のスタジオをミラノに設立後、97年にはMichael C.Satz.と共にミラノとベルリンを拠点にした「21」を設立した。
1998年にはアウディ社主催の国際コンペ「Life in Motion」で最優秀賞を勝ち取る。
Born in Milan in 1966.
He studied at the Art Center College of Design,La Tour de Peilz, Switerland.
He designed parking systems for Elektrene- a ticket machine and oil-pressure barrier for garages and public car parks.
In 1995 he opened his own design office in Milan.
In 1997 he opens Milan and Berlin based '21' associate practice with Michael C.Satz. In 1998 he wins the 1st prize in the international competition "Life in Motion" sponsored by Audi.

Matti Klenell
1972年スウェーデン生まれ。
ストックホルム国立デザイン学校Konstfackで学んだ後、一年間Nyréns Arkitektkontorでデザイナーとして勤務して、2000年に自身のスタジオを開く。
ストックホルムをベースにOffecct, Moooi, Svenskt Tennなど様々な企業とコラボレーションを行う。デザイン活動と共にBeckmans College of Designで教鞭もとる。2003年にはLjunggren Design Award.を受賞している。
Matti Klenell was born in Gothenburg, Sweden in 1972.
After graduating from Konstfack National College of Design in Stockholm in 1999 he worked at Nyréns Arkitektkontor before setting up his own studio in 2000.
The Matti Klenell studio is based in Stockholm and is working with clients such as Őrsjő Belysning, Miljőexpo, Offecct, Moooi, Pyra, Stockholms Lokaltrafik and Svenskt Tenn. Since 2000 he is also head teacher at Beckmans College of Design.
In 2003 Matti Klenell was awarded the Ljunggren Design Award.
After a successful collaboration with Tyson series for BALS TOKYO, he creates new line of products.

Gabriele Pezzini
1963年ベルギー生まれ。
Istituto d'Arte、フィレンツェISIAの実践的なデザインの試みを行う環境で学んだ後、デザインの産業化問題に興味を持ち、1991年にはフランスのAllibert社のインターナショナルデザインチームに所属。1997年までデザインマネージャーを担当する。
1999年に自身のスタジオを設立し、デザインのリサーチや様々な業界の企業と開発を行う。プロダクトとユーザーの関係性の中で発展していく彼のプロジェクトは、我々のモノへの見方を改めて定義し直す新しい言語のようである。
デザイン活動の傍ら、フランスSaint Etienne のEcole de Beaux Arts、アメリカのRhode Island School of Design in Providence、ミラノ工科大学で教鞭も執っている。
Gabriele Pezzini was born on December 4, 1963 at Charleroi, Belgium.
His artistic education, at the Istituto d'Arte and then at ISIA of Florence (Istituto Superiore per le Industrie Artistiche), urged him incessantly toward experimentation.
Interested in the problems involved in the industrialization of designs, in 1991 he became a member of the international team of designers of the French company Allibert, and then the company's design manager until 1997. In 1999 he established his own studio in Milan, resumed working on research projects and collaborated with new companies in a wide range of fields.
His projects, which are developed within the sphere of the relationships between the object and its user, have led him to formulate a language that redefines our perception of products.
He has also been Visiting Professor at the Ecole de Beaux Arts in Saint Etienne, France, the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, USA, and the Milan Politecnico.

Yasumichi Morita
1967年大阪生まれ。
現場で積み重ねた経験を活かし、フリーランスとして活動ののち、（株）イマジンにてチーフデザイナーを勤める。
1996年、森田恭通デザインオフィスを設立。
2000年6月にはGLAMOROUS CO., LTDとして再スタートを切り、2001年には香港にY.MORITA DESIGN (HK) LTD.を設立した。
2001年、香港での自身初の海外プロジェクトを皮切りに、現在では、NY、マレーシア、香港、上海、等、世界にその活動の場所を広げている。
さらにクリエイティブディレクターとして、デザイナー集団『ERO ERO』を率い、インテリアに限らず、グラフィックやプロダクトといった幅広い創作活動を行っている。
最近では、NYのトランプタワー1Fに「MEGU」2号店がOPENした。
Born in Osaka, Japan in 1967.
After years as freelance, spent several years in Imagine, Inc., as a chief designer.
Morita has set up Morita Yasumichi Design Office in 1996 and in 2000, restructured it to GLAMOROUS CO., LTD.,. In 2001, he has set up Y.MORITA DESIGN (HK) LTD. in Hong Kong.
After the first overseas project in Hong Kong, he has been successfully expanding his works in NY, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Malaysia.
He is also the creative director of his associate member, "ERO ERO" which extends their creation beyond special design, such as graphic and product design.
One of his latest work is Japanese restaurant "MEGU MidTown" in the Trump Tower NYC.

BALS TOKYOでは2006東京デザイナーズウィークのテーマである「LOVE」と「HOME PARTY」にちなんで、国内外で活躍するシリル・デュヴァン氏(フランス)によるインスタレーションを開催致しました。
また、シリル氏によるインスタレーションの空間の中でホームパーティを開催致し、
BALS TOKYOのコラボレートデザイナーであるFrancesco Rota氏も参加して、
様々な国籍の方がLOVE PARTYの空間の中でシャンパンとフードと会話を楽しんでいかれました。
